Sri Lanka National Cricket Team's 2027 World Cup campaign begins in Windhoek against Qualifier B on October 10. They then face England, Bangladesh, New Zealand and South Africa before the Group Stage concludes, giving them a schedule spread across Namibia and South Africa.
Sri Lanka are part of Group B with New Zealand, South Africa, England, Bangladesh and Qualifier B. Like the other established Group B sides, they have been assigned a Super 7 seed, with Sri Lanka occupying B3.
Sri Lanka’s World Cup 2027 Fixtures and Match Schedule
Sri Lanka's opening match is against Qualifier B in Windhoek on October 10. They then meet England at the same venue on October 13.
The team travels to Durban for the Bangladesh fixture on October 16 before facing New Zealand in Johannesburg on October 20. Their final Group Stage match is against South Africa in Johannesburg on October 22.

Sri Lanka will therefore play their first two matches in Namibia before moving to South Africa for the remainder of the Group Stage.
Sri Lanka’s Key Matches and Opponents in the Group Stage
The England match comes only three days after Sri Lanka's opener and will be one of their early Group B contests against a pre-seeded Super 7 team.
The New Zealand and South Africa matches will close Sri Lanka's Group Stage campaign. Both opponents are also assigned Super 7 positions, giving these fixtures significance within the tournament's wider structure.
The top three teams from Group B, plus the better fourth-placed side across the two groups, will advance to the Super 7.
Sri Lanka’s Route to the Super 7 and Knockout Stages
Sri Lanka have been given the B3 Super 7 position. Their current schedule begins against Australia in Johannesburg on October 25, followed by New Zealand in KuGompo City on October 29.
Sri Lanka then face England in Cape Town on November 2, South Africa in Bloemfontein on November 6, Pakistan in Bloemfontein on November 10 and India in Durban on November 14.

The ICC has stressed that the Super 7 seedings provide fixture certainty, but non-seeded qualifiers can inherit a seeded position if a pre-seeded team fails to qualify.
The top four Super 7 teams move into the semi-finals on November 17 and 18. The tournament final will be played in Johannesburg on November 21.
