Former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar came up with hilarious advice for Bangladesh batsmen after their batting struggle in the recently concluded two-match Test series against India.

With more than two days of the Test getting washed out, a draw was looking like the best probability. Only 35 overs were bowled on day one while no action took place on days two and three due to rain and a wet outfield.

So when Bangladesh resumed their first innings on 107/3 on day four, not many were expecting any result other than a draw. However, Team India came up with a stunning performance with both bat and ball to blow away Bangladesh and win the Test in a dramatic fashion.

In both the innings, Bangladesh's batters failed to do well. After starting the day on 107/3, the visitors were all out for just 233 runs. Mominul Haque (107*) waged a lone battle by scoring an unbeaten ton but found very little support from the other end.

In reply, India declared their innings after just 34.4 overs as whirlwind fifties from Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul took them to 285/9. In the second innings, Bangladesh batters struggled even more as the visitors were all out for only 146 runs.

At one stage, they were on 91/3 before suffering a collapse that reduced them to 94/7. Bangladesh kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were eventually bowled out for 146 runs. Set a target of 95 runs, India chased down the total inside 18 overs by losing two wickets. Opener Jaiswal starred with the bat again, scoring 51.

Sunil Gavaskar's advice for Bangladesh batters:

As Bangladesh batters were struggling against Team India, their former cricketer Athar Ali Khan decided to ask Sunil Gavaskar for advice. The former India captain is one of the greatest batsmen of all time. Sunil Gavaskar scored more than 10,000 runs in the Test with the help of 34 centuries and 45 half-centuries.

Both Athar Ali and Sunil Gavaskar were commentating on day five of the Test when the former asked the latter if he had any advice for the struggling batsmen of Bangladesh going forth. In reply, Gavaskar, who is known for his humorous nature, came up with a brilliant reply, saying:

"As an Indian, I’ll say get out quickly."

Meanwhile, India and Bangladesh will now play a three-match T20I series against each other. The series is scheduled to begin on October 6 in Gwalior.
