During the match no.65 between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Eden Gardens. This was the reverse fixture, and the Knights were on top of Hardik Pandya’s side tonight in a must-win game. KKR won the toss and invited MI to bat first. Hardik Pandya could not find his rhythm and was bamboozled by Sunil Narine.

The Mumbai Indians have no answer to the KKR bowlers and lost wickets at regular intervals. They did not have the best of the tournaments, and on a wicket which had a bit of moisture due to the early rain ahead of the game, the MI batters struggled to get going. It has been a tough night for all MI batters.

Sunil Narine stuns Hardik Pandya with a ripper

The event happened in the 15.2 over while Hardik was struggling to pick Sunil Narine as the ball was turning, and the veteran mystery spinner did his trick once again by castling Pandya’s stumps and reducing the five-time champions to 95/6 with less than five overs left. The Knights are surely on top of their game tonight.

Here's the video

Hardik Pandya was back on the score of 26 off 27 deliveries. He just struck one six and two boundaries in his dismal innings. Sunil Narine zipped the ball into the right-hander, attacking the stumps; the ball also stays a touch low, and Hardik was so late on the cut, missing it by a long way. Sunil Narine finished off with 1/13 in four overs.

MI openers went back early

Coming to the game, KKR did not make any changes; they had Matheesha Pathirana out, with Rovman Powell coming in. The visitors made two changes as Hardik Pandya came in, and Allah Ghazanfar also came in for Sherfane Rutheford and Shardul Thakur.

Being put into bat first, Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma did not have the best of starts. As the former was back for just 6 runs, with Cameron Green picking the wicket, and in the same over, Naman Dhir also went back for a duck. The KKR bowlers were all over the Mumbai batters.

Soon Rohit Sharma walked back for the score of 15 runs, after that Suryakumar Yadav, who looked in fine form, was played on as Saurabh Dubey picked up the two wickets. But Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya struggled in the middle overs. The Southpaw was back, scoring 20 runs off 32 balls.

In the end, MI scored 147/8 in their 20 overs with a handy knock from Corbin Bosch, who scored 32 off 18 deliveries and posted a fighting total for the five-time winners. Kartik Tyagi, Saurabh Dubey, and Cam Green picked two wickets each in the innings.
