"Suryakumar Yadav is useless": BCCI told to sack India T20I captain after failure vs Bangladesh

Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav continues his poor form in the Asia Cup 2025 and has faced severe criticism after consecutive failures in the Super-4 matches. He has also been criticized for being responsible for the dismissal of Abhishek Sharma.
India is playing its neighbour, Bangladesh, in the Asia Cup Super-4 match and is looking forward to sealing their Final spot with a win against the Asian rivals. The World Champions have been considered as one of the guaranteed finalists in the Asia Cup 2025.
Though India has been at the top of the world ever since skipper Suryakumar Yadav took over the captaincy of the World Champion side, the player himself has seen a major dip in his career.
Suryakumar Yadav continues his terrible show in Asia Cup Super-4 matches
Suryakumar Yadav was picked as India's captain coming into the Asia Cup 2025. This is the first time the Mumbai Indians star is leading India in a multi-nation event. Though he has a great record in the T20 bilaterals, he still awaits a major trophy in his captaincy stint.
India came into the tournament as favourites and has kept their fame intact. Yadav also started well with a dominant 7* and 47* in the first two games against UAE and Pakistan in the group-stage games. However, he did not come out to bat against Oman and received immense criticism for the decision.
This marked a change of course in the Indian skipper's form, as he failed to be promising in the Super-4 games and has a 0 and 5 in two games against Pakistan and Bangladesh, respectively.
Suryakumar Yadav was blamed for the Indian opener's unfortunate dismissal
The Bangla Tigers have made several changes to their playing XI and included several new players to face India. They have also sustained the huge blow of the skipper being ruled out due to a back sprain.
However, Rishad Hossain, the leg-spinner who has been included in the side as a bowling all-rounder and is known largely for his big-hitting ability, went on to impress with the ball as well as on the field. He picked 2 big wickets of openers Shubman Gill and Shivam Dube.
He contributed to all of the first three wickets. The first two with the ball, and then a stunning piece of fielding at the point region led to the dismissal of Abhishek Sharma. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav, whose call led to the dismissal, has been further blamed by the ICT fans.
Until the run-out, Abhishek Sharma looked flawless, and the batter on 75 was seemingly eyeing his third international hundred in the shortest format of the game.
