Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra said that the Men in Blue should put themselves in a challenging position during the second T20I match against Bangladesh. Aakash Chopra said that skipper Suryakumar Yadav should opt to bat first if he wins the toss in the second T20I in the three-match series.
The Suryakumar Yadav-led side registered a seven-wicket win in the opening match in Gwalior on Sunday, October 6. India will hope to continue their winning momentum and seal the series during the second match, which is set to be played at the Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi on Wednesday, October 9.
Suryakumar Yadav Should Bat First - Aakash Chopra
In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said that India should bat first in the second T20I against Bangladesh. Chopra added that Suryakumar Yadav should inform the team of this plan beforehand. He said that India won the first game even without giving their best effort.
"You generally think that you need to win an international game or series. Then you think that you would win even if you play at 70 percent. You give debuts to two players but still win one-sided. Then you feel that you should challenge yourself. When you are at the top, it is lonely, no one is able to reach there," Chopra said.
"So you have to challenge yourself. You need internal motivation. For that, I would say that Suryakumar Yadav should bat first if he wins the toss in Delhi. If the opposing team wins the toss, they will anyway ask you to bat. So tell your batters beforehand that you are going to bat first," Chopra added.

Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bowl first during the series opener. Fast bowler Mayank Yadav and all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy made their international debuts in the absence of regular players. The Men in Blue bowled out the opposition team for just 127 runs in 19.5 overs in Gwalior.
The home team chased down the target with seven wickets and 49 deliveries to spare. Hardik Pandya was the top scorer for India with 36 runs off 16 balls, including 5 fours and two sixes. Sanju Samson (29 off 19) and skipper Suryakumar Yadav (29 off 14) chipped in with useful contributions in the batting.
Might Have To Bowl With A Slightly Wet Ball - Aakash Chopra
In the same video, Aakash Chopra said that India has the potential to post a massive total while batting first. The cricketer-turned-commentator stated that India can score around 250 runs. He added that dew might affect bowling later in the game, but that's okay.
"Then when they get to bat, the way they are playing, if they start playing in that same fashion, 225 to 250 is possible. Why not, because you can try to play that way. Dew might come later because we are talking about Delhi now. So you might have to bowl with a slightly wet ball but that's okay," Chopra said.
The reputed commentator said that Suryakumar Yadav and the team would earn praise even if they lost while adopting an aggressive playing style. Chopra highlighted that India should bat and score really big with their aggressive approach.
