India National Cricket Team T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav posted a special message with an MS Dhoni connection to celebrate the maiden Test ton of the 26-year-old batsman Sarfaraz Khan.

Sarfaraz Khan smashed his maiden century in Test cricket for the India National Cricket Team in the Test series opener against the New Zealand National Cricket Team at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Sarfaraz Khan Helps India Make A Comeback

Sarfaraz Khan replicated his domestic cricket heroics in the first Test against the Kiwis when he hit a daddy hundred. The batter was not satisfied after smashing a quickfire fifty and converted it into a huge century.

He had bagged a duck in the first innings, but quickly forgot his failure and bounced back strong. He batted brilliantly in the second innings and finished with the score of 150 runs in 195 balls, with 18 fours and 3 sixes.

Sarfaraz Khan built two exceptional partnerships with Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant of 136 and 177 runs to help India get a lead and set a target of 107 runs for the BlackCaps.

His knock in the Bengaluru Test took his tally to 350 runs in just four Tests for India. He has scored his runs at an amazing average of 58.33 and a good strike rate of 77.77, to go with one century and three fifties.

Suryakumar Yadav Impressed With Sarfaraz Khan

After Sarfaraz Khan's heroics with the bat his Mumbai teammate Suryakumar Yadav posted a special message on his Instagram for the youngster. He posted a picture of Sarfaraz celebrating his ton and wrote a dialogue from MS Dhoni's biopic.

"Duty ke baad roz practice, jitna duty utna practice. [Practice daily after duty, the more duty the more practice]. Kar paega? [Will you be able to do it]," he wrote.

Notably, this is not the first time that Suryakumar has shared some message for Sarfaraz as the India T20I skipper keeps posting about the young batter's heroics on his official social media handles.

The legendary India National Cricket Team spinner Anil Kumble was mighty impressed with the performance of Sarfaraz Khan against the New Zealand National Cricket Team.

He said that Sarfaraz is a street-smart cricketer and knows how to put pressure back on the opposition team. The legendary India cricketer during a chat on Jio Cinema stated:

"You can sort is understand the aura with which he walks in. He is street smart and he knows how to put pressure back on the player, and you have to remember that he has only played one series. A,nd now under pr,essure he has come in and has tried to stamp his authority on the bowling attack.

"Against spin, he is total control, he puts pressure back on the bowler right from ball one and then against pacres, he uses the pace to such good effect. When New Zealand packed the square, he got his boundaries through covers. He does not move much, stands still and plays inside the line and he sticks to his gameplan."
