Suryakumar Yadav stops security rushing to save Hardik Pandya from pitch invader

During the India vs Namibia match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, one of Hardik Pandya's staunch fans crawled past the security checks to meet his favourite superstar on the field. As the securities chased the intruder, Suryakumar Yadav asked them to slow down.

India kicked off their campaign against the USA side in the home World Cup season. They next went on to win their second game against African minnows Namibia, whom they crushed by a massive margin of 93 runs.

Indian players did not fail to deliver in either of the two games. So far, the likes of opener Ishan Kishan, all-rounder Hardik Pandya and captain Suryakumar Yadav have contributed with the bat. Among bowlers, Indian spinners have been the very best with the ball.

Indian fan breaks past security checks to meet Hardik Pandya

The India vs Namibia game was played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The tickets were sold in surplus for the evening game at the Stadium, and Indian fans filled the stands with high-nerve energy.

India is often marked as a common space where the fanbase of the Cricketers has been growing over time and again. The likes of modern-day superstars like Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have millions of fans cheering for them.

As Hardik bowled during the Namibia game, an Indian fan breached the security to enter the field in order to meet his idol. The intruder was a young man who ran towards the Indian all-rounder and hugged him out of excitement.

The Indian all-rounder also responded with genuine concern and held him during the tight hug. It has often been noted that the Indian cricketers have embraced their fans and have been overjoyed by such crazy fanbases.

Several such incidents have been noted for Indian maestros Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the past. As the player rushed in, the security personnel of the ground rushed to stop him; however, the Indian captain, Suryakumar Yadav, asked them to slow down.

Suryakumar was just being respectful and caring towards the young fan, and he asked the security people to restore his integrity while taking him off the field. This incident was marked as a caring gesture by the Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav and the veteran captain.

Hardik Pandya was declared the POTM against Namibia

After Suryakumar's dismissal, Hardik Pandya was sent in to bat in the Indian middle order. Suryakumar missed out on runs; however, Pandya kept his nerve through the middle phase and counted on a death-overs finish.

Pandya then scored his eighth half-century in the shortest format of the game and his third in the ICC T20 World Cup. A master innings of 52 runs helped India through with a partnership alongside Shivam Dube.

Hardik then also went on to pick 2 wickets in his four-over spell. Having finished the match as India's top all-round performer, he was handed the Player of the Match award in the game.
