South Africa National Cricket Team spinner Tabraiz Shamsi came up with a massive reaction related to Suryakumar Yadav's catch in the T20 World Cup 2024 final. While commenting on a viral video, he said that had umpires checked the catch in the way it was there in the clip, they could've won the tournament.

Even after two months, the T20 World Cup 2024 final is still etched in the memories of many. India National Cricket Team and the South Africa National Cricket Team were engaged in a high-intensity battle in the summit clash, which took place at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.

India National Cricket Team won the game by the barest of margins as they snatched the win from the jaws of defeat. One of the defining moments in the game in the last over of the match was when Suryakumar Yadav took a brilliant catch near the boundary ropes to remove well-set David Miller.

South Africa needed 16 runs in the last over and on the first ball, Hardik Pandya bowled a full toss and David Miller hit it straight.

The ball almost seemed to be going over the boundary ropes but Suryakumar Yadav came up with a magical effort that tilted the game in India's favour.

Suryakumar Yadav showed great presence of mind as he took a staggering catch just inches inside the boundary ropes. He went past the ropes and then returned to complete the catch to send the batter packing and help the India National Cricket Team win the T20 World Cup 2024.

After the India National Cricket Team won the T20 World Cup 2024, many praised Suryakumar Yadav for his effort.

But there was some section of people who questioned his catch. There were talks that the batter touched the boundary ropes and it was a six and South Africa was robbed of the trophy.

Two months later, Tabraiz Shamsi came up with a shocking comment. The South Africa National Cricket Team spinner reacted to a video on the internet, in which players hilariously used ropes to measure the boundary to check if the fielder had taken a clean catch.

Tabraiz Shamsi mentioned that if the International Cricket Council used this method to check the catch in the final, Miller could've been not out. He stated:

"If they used this method to check the catch in the World Cup final maybe it would have been given not out."

Tabraiz Shamsi clears that he was joking about Suryakumar Yadav's catch

After his reaction to Suryakumar Yadav's catch, Tabraiz Shamsi cleared the air on his comments. He said that his comments were meant to be a joke and he is not crying over the decision. He explained:

"In case some people don't understand that it's meant to be a joke and no one is crying... let me explain it to you like a 4-year-old child. It's A Joke."
