The former India National Cricket Team fielding coach T Dilip has shared an emotional goodbye to his former teammates and coaching staff after his stint with the Men in Blue side came to an end, and he was not handed any further extension after India's T20I tour of Zimbabwe, as the side won the series 3-0.
T Dilip started his coaching stint with the national side back in 2021 and had a very good time with the players and every member of the squad. He came in under Rahul Dravid in November and stayed with Gautam Gambhir until mid-2026.

T Dilip shares that he had an amazing time over the five years, and he is short of words for the journey he had with the Men in Blue side over the years. He stated on his Instagram that he has always been grateful for the opportunity to coach a team like India.
"Five years. It's difficult to find the right words for a journey that has meant so much. When I first walked into this setup, I came in with one simple intention, to give everything I had every single day. Fielding has always been my way of contributing to the game I love, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to have played a part in this team's journey," wrote Dilip on his Instagram account on Monday.

He was part of the 2023 ODI World Cup final squad, which lost to Australia in the final in that very tournament. The medal for the best fielder of every match was provided, in a unique announcement style, which created amazing bonding in the team.
He was also part of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, which they won by beating South Africa in Barbados, and he also shared his feelings on winning two Asia Cups and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025, and also shared his experience of losing the World Test Championship (WTC) final and the ODI World Cup final.
"The fielding medal will always hold a very special place in my heart. Seeing the excitement it created in the dressing room, the smiles it brought, and the value the players attached to it are memories I'll carry with me forever. "

T Dilip also thanked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) former head coach Rahul Dravid and current head coach Gautam Gambhir and all the captains he has worked under during his tenure, specially mentioning Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Virat Kohli.
