Joe Cracknell, on Monday (May 29), took one of the best catches of the ongoing season to dismiss Jack Taylor during the clash between Gloucestershire and Middlesex in the ongoing T20 Blast.

Asked to bat first, Gloucestershire were in a precarious position in the 10th over when Joe Cracknell pulled off the outrageous catch to send back the opposition skipper. Gloucestershire were on 85 for 3 when Taylor decided to take on leg-spinner Luke Hollman.

On the third ball of the over, Hollman bowled a back-of-a-length delivery and Taylor decided to go for a big shot. The right-handed batsman made a good contact as he hit the ball towards deep mid-wicket. The ball was looking destined to pass through the fielder at deep mid-wicket and long on.

However, Joe Cracknell had other ideas. As soon as Taylor placed his shot towards the fielder’s left side, Joe Cracknell ran towards his left and before the ball could land on the field or cross the boundary rope, he made a full-length dive and caught the ball with his left hand to complete an outrageous catch. His reaction after completing the catch said it all as even he could not believe that he had pulled off such a catch.
