Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen has reckoned that only Pakistan or Afghanistan look like beating England in Sharjah and anywhere else, England should win hands down. Pietersen has been part of the T20 World cup triumph for England in 2010 and was the man of the tournament as well. He has always voiced out his opinions in a different manner and doesn’t shy away too.

England and Pakistan have been the unbeaten sides so far in the ICC T20 World cup 2021, and they have almost booked a spot in the semifinals despite not being officially confirmed. England specifically has dominated teams and has won games from different situations. They have eliminated Sri Lanka and Bangladesh after winning yesterday’s win against the Island nation.

“Only Pakistan Or Afghanistan Can Beat England In This T20 World Cup” – Kevin Pietersen

After the thumping win for England, Kevin Pietersen tweeted on Twitter that Pakistan or Afghanistan will only be able to beat England on their current form. He also noted that it could happen only on a used wicket in Sharjah and compared it to the EPL European Champions Chelsea. Chelsea is on the top in the EPL points table and is looking like the most probable titleholder.

“Only Pakistan or Afghanistan can beat England in this T20 World Cup. BUT, and it’s a BIG BUT, the game would have to be played on a used wicket in Sharjah. Anywhere else, just hand England the trophy like Chelsea should be handed the EPL trophy RIGHT NOW,” tweeted Kevin Pietersen on Twitter.

England Almost Qualify For The Semi-Finals

With an excellent net run rate and with four wins in four games, England have edged closer to a semi-final spot and is looking to threaten the teams in the opposite group as well. However, despite Sri Lanka starting off well, Jos Buttler managed to produce a marvellous century and ended up being the game-changer for the side.

England looks like being unstoppable at the moment with both bat and ball, and their only worry could be the injury to Tymal Mills in the previous game.
