Pakistan managed to win their first game against India in a World Cup fixture, and Mohammad Rizwan was one of the stars behind yesterday’s historic win for Pakistan. India clearly looked the stronger of the two teams coming into the tournament. However, the Men in Green turned the tides with an excellent performance against India, and their confidence will be up the ladder now.

India lost early wickets due to an outstanding spell from Shaheen Afridi and never managed to get hold of the game as Pakistan restricted India to a paltry score of 151. The Indian bowlers could not pick up any wickets throughout the game. The Pakistan openers Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam finished unbeaten to win the game by 10 wickets and 2.1 overs left.

Mohammad Rizwan Recollects Watching India-Pakistan Game On Television

Mohammad Rizwan mentioned that this is his first game against India, and he explained how he used to highlight the mistakes of Pakistan in the previous encounters between these two teams. He added that Shaheen’s spell gave a different level of confidence to the team.

“This was my first game against India, so it’s a good thing for me. I used to watch all the Indo-Pak matches on television and used to pinpoint where we made mistakes. But today’s game was great, and after Shaheen got those wickets, we were confident we would win,” he added.
