Test and ODI world champions Australia will be aiming to complete the famous ICC trophy treble by wearing new threads for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

The Australians will come out in the middle at USA and West Indies by wearing a new jersey, specially designed for the T20 World Cup. This brand-new kit doesn't have anything similar to what the Aussies wore during the 2021 T20 World Cup. In that edition, they won the final against New Zealand by wearing a jersey with a color combination of Yellow and Green.

But this time around, Australia's official kit manufacturers - Asics have gone with an entire dark green attire with Yellow being on the collars and ribs. This looks as classic as ever and the players, who have been selected for the T20 World Cup 2024, will be aiming to go for glory and get their hands on a third ICC silverware in less than a year.

Who will captain Australia in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024?

Australia's senior all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been handed over the reins of captaincy to help and continue the Aussie dominance in the cricketing world. Marsh has the chance to immortalize himself by captaining his nation to win the 20-team T20 WC and become just the second Aussie captain to lift the coveted trophy.

Mitchell Marsh was a part of the Australian team that won the 2021 T20 WC in UAE under the captaincy of former opener Aaron Finch. The all-rounder was adjudged as man of the match in the finale against Trans-Tasman rivals New Zealand for his exceptional all-round performance at the Dubai International stadium.

In the 1st innings with the ball, Mitchell Marsh had an ordinary outing as he conceded 11 runs off his only 6 balls with New Zealand posting 173 as the target. In response, David Warner, who eventually became man of the tournament as well as second-highest run-scorer, smashed a half-century but Aaron Finch departed for just 5.

Warner then stitched a match-winning partnership of 92 runs with Mitchell Marsh, who walked in at number 3 and scored 77 off 50. After Warner's departure, Glenn Maxwell paired up with Marsh, amassing a 66-run partnership and guiding the Kangaroos towards their maiden ICC T20 World Cup trophy.

So, Mitchell Marsh had a very important role to play in the edition played 3 years ago and this time as captain, his role becomes even more imperative.

The all-rounder will be eager to carry on the Australian legacy. After winning the 50-over World Cup in India last year, Marsh and Co. will step out in the USA and West Indies to finish as World Champions across all formats.

Their T20 WC campaign begins on June 5th against Oman at Barbados before taking on the Three Lions on June 8th at the same venue.
