T20 World Cup 2024: India vs Pakistan match to be called off? ISIS releases threatening propaganda against the tournament

Huge news is coming all the way from New York about the terror group ISIS sharing a propaganda video to cause violence in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. 

The T20 World Cup, which officially begins from June 1 onwards, is headed over to the United States of America (USA) for the first time ever. It is the first time that the country is hosting an ICC event and it's also the first time two countries are hosting the same tournament. West Indies is the other host nation along with the US. 

All the respective 20 teams have landed in the USA for the World Cup with countries like Australia and Namibia playing warm-up matches to prepare. Team India has also arrived in New York wherein they will play their opening T20 WC game while last year's finalists England and Pakistan will be there after finishing off their 4-match T20I series. 

What exactly happened days before the ICC T20 World Cup 2024?

According to reports coming from the USA, the infamous terrorist organization ISIS has shared a propaganda graphic to cause some havoc. The alleged graphic displayed the Nassau Cricket Stadium in New York, which is going to host some important matches at the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. 

The ISIS visual displayed the 34,000-seater stadium with a message that can be decoded as a clear threat. The terror organization did not mention any specific date or match in which they were planning to attack but the cryptic message spoke volumes. "You wait for matches and we wait for you." - the message read.

The most threatening thing is that the visual indicated the date of June 9th, which is the day when the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will generate massive viewership. It is the day when a new chapter will be added to the rivalry between India and Pakistan at the New York stadium. 

A senior official of the forces in the USA has suggested that there is no such evidence or proof of the terror attack that ISIS is planning. However, the symbol of the terror organization was there to see. "The worst threats are the ones you don’t see coming." - the official said. 

Another senior official had something else to claim about the attacks. The intel has reported that ISIS is just wanting to spark some fire by sharing the propaganda video. It has also claimed that by sharing the graphic, they just want to make sure they incite one to attempt anything vicious on their behalf. 

ISIS is hoping that their graphic message will intrigue anyone and make people feel that they can attack the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA. This news has come just 3 days before the T20 WC begins in Dallas with a clash between the USA and Canada at 07:30 PM local time.

Amid the terror threats, the Nassau County Police have decided to hold a security brief later today with the officials also appearing in front of the media. It remains to be seen how much effect the threat have in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024
