T20 World Cup 2024: Watch - Rishabh Pant's million-dollar gesture to 'bhai jeet ke aana' request during India's departure

India wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant will be making his return to international cricket in the T20 World Cup 2024. After missing a lot of crucial games for the team due to the horrific accident, he was back in the team for the World Cup. 

Rishabh Pant made a return to cricket in the IPL 2024 and he showed an ominous touch with the bat and also looked extremely fit while keeping. Based on his terrific performance in the league, where he scored over 400 runs, he was included in the team for the T20 World Cup 2024.

On Saturday (25th May), Rishabh Pant joined Team India and was seen boarding the flight for the T20 World Cup 2024 along with the other members of the team. The Rohit Sharma-led side departed for New York from Mumbai. 

Rishabh Pant, however, caught the attention of many with his gesture. As he walked inside the airport, a media personnel asked him to return home with a trophy. The keeper-batter came with a smile and thumbs up and the video went viral on the internet.

Rishabh Pant is likely to be the first-choice keeper for Team India in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. The keeper-batter played some incredible knocks in the league and scored 446 runs, at an average of 40 and a strike rate of 155 in the 13 games that he played.

Rishabh Pant will be extremely crucial for the team in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. The left-hander will be playing the finisher’s role for the team. He would be keen to make an impact in the tournament and take his team to glory in what will be his comeback match for India after a while. 

The T20 World Cup 2024 will begin from 2nd June. India will begin their campaign against Ireland on 5th June. They are placed in Group A, alongside Ireland, hosts USA, Canada, and arch-rivals Pakistan. 

The likes of Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav along with Rishabh Pant and the coaching staff were seen boarding the flight. They will be traveling to Dubai first and then will move to New York. 

I believe that Rishabh has massive potential to win games for India - Yuvraj Singh on Rishabh Pant 

Recently former India player Yuvraj Singh talked about the Rishabh Pant, claiming that the keeper-batter has the potential to win the games for India. He stated that he would be a match-winner on the big stage. He had said: 

“I believe that Rishabh has massive potential to win games for India, which he has done in the past. Lot more in Test cricket, and he’s (Pant) someone who I feel can be a match-winner on the big stage,” he concluded. 

It remains to be seen if Rishabh Pant will be able to replicate his IPL form in the T20 World Cup 2024 or not.
