India National Cricket Team has regrouped after the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 as they left for the T20 World Cup 2024. The tournament will take place in the United States of America (USA) and the Caribbean in June with 20 teams taking part in it for the first time.

The first batch of the Indian team was seen leaving from the Mumbai Airport. The likes of skipper Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, head coach Rahul Dravid, and other coaching staff were seen leaving the team bus and entering the airport.

What caught the attention of many was Virat Kohli wasn't there with the team. The Premier batter is expected to join the team but there's no clarity if he will be travelling with the team or not. As per the reports, the first batch of the team will be traveling to Dubai first and then will move to New York.

Here's the video of Team India leaving for T20 World Cup 2024:

The second batch of Team India, which will be comprised of Rajasthan Royals in Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal and traveling reserve Avesh Khan will be traveling on Sunday (26th May). All the Indian players who are part of the World Cup squad have been free from the IPL as their teams have been eliminated.

India will be opening their campaign in the T20 World Cup 2024 against Ireland on 5th June. They are placed in Group A, alongside Ireland, the USA, Canada, and arch-rivals Pakistan. They will be keen to win the tournament as they have been coming close to titles but are failing to cash on the big games, which has resulted in them losing every ICC title since 2013.

India had a heartbreak in the last ICC tournament, which took place in India. They lost the ICC World Cup 2023 but what broke many was after playing the whole tournament like champions, they lost the final against Australia. They win 10 games on the trot before losing the summit clash.

But the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 will be a huge opportunity for Team India to make the comeback and give their fans something to cherish about. Skipper Rohit Sharma would be keen to get the trophy under his belt and lead from the front to help the Team end the title drought.
