The 30-year-old Bangladesh National Cricket Team spin-bowling all-rounder, Mahedi Hasan, has fired a massive warning to the Suryakumar Yadav-led India National Cricket Team.
Mahedi Hasan has said that Bangladesh will treat the high-octane match against the India National Cricket Team as just another game, and they are not overthinking.
Bangladesh surprised everyone in the Asia Cup 2025
It would not be wrong to say that the Bangla Tigers have surprised everyone with their performance in the ongoing edition of the Asia Cup, which is being played in the United Arab Emirates.
Bangladesh were placed in Group B of the Asia Cup 2025 alongside Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong. Many experts backed Sri Lanka and Afghanistan as the two teams to qualify for the Super Four round from that group, but that didn't happen.
Instead, former Asia Cup champions Sri Lanka made it to the Super Fours along with Bangladesh, who won two out of their three matches.
Then, the Litton Das-led side stunned Sri Lanka in their first Super Four clash to register a 4-wicket victory, and their next match is againstthe India National Cricket Team at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 24.

Whether the opponent is India or Australia, that's not our concern - Mahedi Hasan
In an interaction with the reporters ahead of the match against India, Mahedi Hasan said that they are not falling into the trap of overthinking by focusing on the hype around the upcoming clash and are in a very normal state of mind.
"Not after winning a match. From the start, we stay normal. The way we are, the way our body language is — we aren't overthinking," Mahedi said, as quoted by Hindustan Times.
"We're just going out there to play a cricket match. Whether the opponent is India or Australia, that's not our concern."
Everything comes down to the match situation - Mahedi Hasan
Historically, Bangladesh have performed awfully against India, winning just one out of 17 T20Is. However, Mahedi Hasan denied delving into the past and said that they are focusing on the present.
"It depends on the match situation. Everything comes down to the match situation," he said.
The spin-bowling all-rounder further once again clarified that they will approach the game against India quite normally and wouldn't think about the David vs Goliath narrative.
"We're not thinking about that. That's created by you (the media) or by the fans. We'll just play the way we've been playing every international match — normally."
Talking about the performance of Team India, they have been absolutely dominant and are yet to lose a match in the Asia Cup 2025.
India have registered four consecutive wins in the tournament, including three in the Group Stage and one in the Super Four. In their previous match against Pakistan, the Men In Blue once again displayed a sensational performance and registered a 6-wicket win to put Pakistan cricket in the dust.
