That's Quite A Funny Story - Kyle Jamieson Dismisses Rumours Of Virat Kohli Asking Him To Bowl With Dukes Ball In Nets During IPL

Royal Challengers Bangalore seamer Kyle Jamieson has banished the anecdote of his IPL teammate Dan Christian which has been gained plenty of traction in the media.
Earlier Dan Christian said that the RCB and India captain Virat Kohli had requested Kyle Jamieson, during the IPL 2021, to bowl to him with the Dukes ball, which the Kiwi pacer had carried with himself to practice for the WTC Final.
Christian stated that Kyle Jamieson denied Kohli’s request; he would later go on to put a Man of the Match performance in Southampton, and dismiss Kohli in both the innings.
Dan just sort of adding some stuff for a good story: Kyle Jamieson
Kyle Jamieson confirmed that Kohli hadn’t made any such request; that they were just chatting about the Test match. He says that Christian just stated such stuff to mess around on the social world.
The lanky New Zealand seamer was impressive in his maiden IPL – he picked up 9 wickets in 7 matches, but was on the expensive side (economy of 9.21), before the tournament was suspended. He continues to have a thunderous start to his Test career, bagging his 5th five-wicket haul in just his 8th Test, and now averages a stunning 14.17 with the ball. Kyle Jamieson will be touring India later in the second WTC cycle.
“No, it wasn’t so much him asking. I think it was Dan just sort of adding some stuff for a good story. We were just talking about it at the start of the IPL with the cricket coming up with our UK tour and theirs as well and I mentioned that I had some Dukes balls, he had some Dukes balls as well,” Kyle Jamieson told Sporting News.
“He just said look at the back end if we want to do some training, we’ll do that but there was no specificity around me bowing to him or, or giving him a look, but whether he was insinuating something that’s something he could tell you but obviously quite a funny story that’s unfolded,” he added.
