Cricket fans have witnessed some scintillating action in the last couple of months. The recently concluded Australia vs England ODI series proved to be quite a one-sided affair where the Aussies thrashed England by 3-0. There weren’t enough spectators at the iconic MCG which was quite astonishing.

Australia didn’t get ample support in the T20 WC despite being the 2021 edition winners. Australia is due to play West Indies in a 2 Match Test Series starting on 30th November (Wednesday) which promises to be an exciting contest as both the teams have powerful bowling attacks.

Steve Waugh on Cricket

Steve Waugh was having an interaction with SEN’s Saturday Morning Mowers Club show and made interesting comments on Cricket.

“There’s a lot of cricket, it’s hard to follow as a spectator, it’s very hard to keep up with it. The three one-dayers against England [earlier this month, which Australia won 3-0] seemed pretty insignificant, really. I mean, what were they playing for?

“There wasn’t big crowds, I think the public has almost overdosed on cricket,” said Steve Waugh

“You want the special series to be iconic, like the Ashes, and against India when they come out here. It’s hard to follow the Australian side because every time they play they have a different team on the field.

“For the fans and spectators, it is hard to make a connection because you’re not sure who is playing,” he added.

Fascinating Contest on Cards

The Australian Cricket Team would be well aware of the fact that they cannot take West Indies lightly. Once again all eyes would be on the duo of David Warner & Steve Smith to guide the team against a dangerous Caribbean bowling attack.

On the other side, West Indies would be aiming to spoil the party of Australia. Australia is placed at the top of the table with the 100 percentile whereas West Indies is virtually out of the race for World Test Championship (WTC).

Most likely Tagenarine Chanderpaul will debut and CWI (Cricket West Indies) would hope that he plays his natural game.
