"There's Not A Lot Of Positives To Take"- Matthew Wade On Australia's Performance

The Australian stand-in captain Matthew Wade expressed his disappointment over the series loss to Bangladesh and did not find many positives to take out of the series moving forward. The wicket-keeper batsmen could not contribute with the bat much either and Australia found themselves in all sorts of trouble.
Their vulnerability in spin conditions was to be exposed and despite the lack of experienced senior batsmen, Australia needed to put up some better performance. This is the second consecutive T20I series defeat after the West Indies hammered Australia 4-1 in their own backyard. The men in yellow need to address their issues ahead of the T20 Worldcup soon.
Matthew Wade Feels The Performances Were Not Good Enough
Matthew Wade mentioned that there aren’t many positives to take out of the series and he felt that the performances weren’t up to the mark from an Australian side. He wanted the team to work on playing the spin bowlers and added that the players in the team should have contributed a lot more with the bat including himself who had a torrid time.
“There’s not a lot of positives to take out of it, to get beaten in the fashion we did, especially tonight, was not good enough from an Australian cricket team regardless of the personnel we’ve got here, The reality is we need to get better at spin, myself included. There’s a lot of players in this team who need to find a way to score runs in these conditions.” Matthew Wade Stressed
Matthew Wade Hails Bangladesh For Adding Those Valuable Batting Runs
Matthew Wade explained the way Bangladesh is so good in their home conditions packing their squad with spinners and hailed them for using the powerplay really well. He added that Bangladesh found a way to add those extra runs which helped them to apply pressure on the Aussies.
“(Bangladesh) are a terrific team in their own conditions, their spinners bowled really well, and they still found a way to find the extra runs and that’s something we can definitely get better at doing. Whether they came a little harder at the front and that is something we maybe needed to do earlier.”He added
