'This Is Actually Sad' : Imran Nazir Disappointed As Only 10 Pakistan Athletes Are Competing In The Tokyo Olympics

Former Pakistan opener Imran Nazir expressed his displeasure at Pakistan’s low attendance in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics. The global event got underway on the 23rd of July, with several athletes worldwide making their mark quickly. However, Pakistan stands behind merely on the number of players sent. Imran Nazir slammed the authorities responsible for the decline.

In all, Pakistan has sent only ten athletes to represent their nation in the Tokyo Olympics 2021. The athletes participating are Arshad Nadeem, Bisma Khan, Ghulam Mustafa Bashir, Gulfam Joseph, Syed Muhammad Haseeb Khan, Talha Talib, Mahoor Shahzad, Muhammad Khalil Akhtar, Najma Parveen, Shah Hussain Shah. In contrast, the likes of China and hosts Japan have sent over 500 athletes for the tournament.
Imran Nazir took to his official Twitter handle and stated it’s sad as Pakistan sent only ten athletes from a population of 220 million. The former left-handed opening batsman slammed the authorities for such a disappointing state of affairs.
