Three Members From Pakistan Women's Squad Tested COVID-19 Positive Ahead Of ODI Series Against West Indies

Three Pakistan women’s cricket team members turned COVID-19 positive in the team camp, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed on its official website.
Pakistan women’s team is gearing up for their upcoming ODI series against West Indies in a camp at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre.
“Three squad members of the national women’s team participating in the pre-West Indies series camp at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre have tested positive for Covid-19,” a statement from PCB read.
Pakistan women’s cricket team to go under isolation
The cases were detected after regular tests were conducted on Wednesday. The three members, who tested positive for COVID-19, are yet to be identified and will undergo a 10-day mandatory quarantine that will complete by November 6.

Other members of the Pakistan squad will remain under isolation till November 2 and continue to take required tests during that period.
Pakistan-West Indies ODI series to commence on November 8
As per the PCB Covid-19 Protocols, all squad members had joined the bio-secure environment after returning two negative tests. These squad members were vaccinated for Covid-19 in May.
Pakistan and West Indies will play three One Day Internationals between Nov 8-14 November at the National Stadium in Karachi.

The last time the two teams played in a five-match ODI series was in July in West Indies, where Javeria Khan and her players lost 2-3 to their opponents.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s men team looks in great touch in the ongoing T20 World cup as they registered back to back victories against India and New Zealand in Group 2 of the Super 12 stage.
