Tim David Joins MI Emirates For ILT20 2024

MI Emirates has roped in Australian star Tim David for the second edition of the International League T20, or the IlT20. The highly-anticipated ILT20 2024 will be played from January 19 to February 17.
A total of six teams will participate in the tournament – Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Desert Vipers, Dubai Capitals, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates, and Sharjah Warriors. Several top names from world cricket such as Shimron Hetmyer, Finn Allen, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, David Warner, and Trent Boult will be in action in the competition.
And Tim David will add more firepower to the star-studded tournament by plying his trade for MI Emirates. His latest T20 team will further bolster his association with the Mumbai Indians franchise. Tim David’s journey with Mumbai Indians began in 2022 when the IPL giants gave him his maiden IPL contract.
Last year, he played for MI New York in the inaugural season of the Major League Cricket as well as MI Cape Town in SA20. He will now be playing for the fourth team owned by the Mumbai Indians franchise. The hard-hitting batsman will join his MI New York teammates Nicholas Pooran, Trent Boult, and Noshtush Kenjige aligning with Dwayne Bravo, Amabti Rayudu, Muhammad Waseem, Odean Smith amongst others at the MI Emirates.

Tim David has ample T20 experience and is known for his hard-hitting abilities. So far, he has played 201 T20s and has scored more than 4000 runs at a strike-rate of over 161. He began his international career with Singapore before switching allegiance to Australia. So far, he has played 4 ODIs and 33 T20Is.
