The Netherlands have announced a provisional 18-man squad for the forthcoming three-match One Day International (ODI) series at home against the England National Cricket Team, which is scheduled to commence from June 17.

The right-arm batter Tom Cooper has made a comeback to the national set-up for the first time since 2016. Cooper, who played his last international game for the Netherlands in 2016 against Ireland in the T20 format, has overall played 23 ODIs and 18 T20Is in his career.

The Netherlands High-Performance Manager, Roland Lefebvre expressed delight at the inclusion of Cooper in the squad and he said that the right-arm batter’s experience will help the youngsters in the team.

“We are very pleased with the arrival of Tom Cooper, who brings with him a huge amount of experience. The knowledge and experience, but also the mentoring role that Tom will have within the young Dutch national team, is of great value. Tom is available for the rest of the international fixtures,” he said in an official statement released by the ICC.
