Dhoni played his first IPL final in the inaugural edition of the league in 2008, which the Chennai Super Kings lost in a close finish against the Rajasthan Royals.

Having said that, the story has been a lot different since then, with Dhoni the captain guiding CSK to five IPL titles.

4. Murali Vijay

Murali Vijay also finds himself in the list of players with the most runs in the IPL final. The former CSK player featured in CSK's title win in 2011 and played a crucial role in helping the team defend the title in 2011.

Vijay played a match-winning innings of 95 runs and added more the 150 runs for the first wicket with Michael Hussey, who also scored a half-century.

Vijay was also a part of the CSK squad that won the 2018 edition of the league after a two-year gap, although he did not get a lot of chances to play

The batter scored 181 runs in four innings and helped CSK clinch the 2011 IPL title. Murali Vijay was a consistent part of the team for a few years.

3. Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma has played the second-most number of IPL finals, six to be precise, and has the unique record of winning all of those.

The former MI captain is the third-highest run scorer in the IPL final, having scored 183 runs in six games, including a match-winning half-century in the 2015 edition, which guided MI to their second IPL title.

The other two teams in question are RCB and CSK. Watson played for RCB in the 2016 IPL final, which his team lost by a close margin.

Come 2018 and 2019, Watson played a magnificent innings on both occasions, which included a century in a tricky run chase against SRH.

Although Watson wasn't able to guide his team to back-to-back titles in 2019, his inning was praised by everyone.

Watson scored 236 runs in the four IPL finals that he played from 2008 to 2019.

1. Suresh Raina

Mr. IPL, as he is famously known, was a part of eight IPL finals that CSK played during his time as a professional cricketer.
