Following his outstanding knock for Jaffna Kings in the LPL 2026 Qualifier 1 against Galle Gallants on Wednesday, August 5, Towhid Hridoy has shared his excitement about facing the Men in Blue in the three-match ODI and three-match T20I series at home next month.

The star batter is hoping to continue his brilliant form and help the Bangladesh National Cricket Team perform well against the India National Cricket Team at home. Hridoy played a stunning unbeaten knock of 54 runs from just 21 balls, hitting three boundaries and five sixes in Qualifier 1.

His explosive innings helped Jaffna Kings to qualify for the LPL 2026 final. Hridoy has been one of the dangerous performers in the 2026 Lanka Premier League. After joining Jaffna Kings as a replacement player, the Bangladesh batter has so far scored 141 runs at a stunning strike rate of 213.64 in the tournament and has remained unbeaten in all four innings.

Towhid Hridoy was quoted as saying by RevSportz: “Whenever I go out to bat, I try to execute my plans. I always assess what the situation demands and then try to bat accordingly. That has been my approach.”

Hridoy also believes Bangladesh are a very strong side in home conditions, and he is confident that his team can pose a tough challenge to the Men in Blue if the series happens.

He signed off by saying, “If India comes, we want to perform well as a team. We lost to them in the last series, but we are a strong side in our home conditions. Our aim is to do well in the coming series, and I will try to contribute as much as possible.”
