Townsville Man Tried To Save Andrew Symonds Following Car Crash

A local man from Townsville revealed that he tried to save the 46-year-old Andrew Symonds after hearing the car crash on a remote road near the northern part of Queensland.
The former Aussie all-rounder passed away late on Saturday night around 11 pm after his car veered off the road. The cause for the incident hasn’t been revealed as of yet.
After hearing the loud noise of the crash, Waylon Townson rushed to the victim and tried to help. However, he failed to do so and Symonds succumbed to the sustained injuries. Waylon did not have an idea who Symonds was at the time.
“He was stuck in there, so I tried to pull him out. (I) started doing CPR and checked his pulse but I didn’t get much response,” Townson was quoted as saying to 9News.
