Trent Boult Bought By Mumbai Indians For INR 12.50 crore at IPL Auction 2025

Veteran fast-bowler Trent Boult has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at a base price of INR 2 crore. The left-arm pacer played for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024.

Boult's journey in the IPL began almost a decade ago and he has played for five teams so far. He made his debut in the tournament in 2015 while representing Sunrisers Hyderabad. In his first season, the New Zealand star picked up 9 wickets in 7 games.

In 2016, he played one game for Sunrisers Hyderabad before joining Kolkata Knight Riders in 2017. After playing just one season for the Knight Riders, Boult joined Delhi Capitals and represented them in 2018 and 2019.

In the following two seasons, plied his trade for Mumbai Indians. In IPL 2020, Boult picked up 25 wickets and helped Mumbai Indians win the title. In 2021, he took 13 wickets before joining Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2022. In three seasons with Rajasthan Royals, the star pacer has taken 45 wickets.

Mumbai Indians have re-signed Trent Boult for INR 12.50 crore at IPL 2025 mega auction. Lucknow Super Giants, Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals also wanted to sign the player but eventually missed out.
