Stand-in Indian skipper, Ajinkya Rahane completed his 12th Test century on Sunday as he played a magnificent knock against the Australians. Rahane came into bat at number four for team India after the Indian Cricket Team bulldozed the Kangaroos for just 195 runs on Day 1 of the Boxing Day Test.
After resuming proceedings from 36/1 on Day 2, team Cheteshwar Pujara and Shubman Gill carried forward the Indian innings but both the batsmen fell in quick succession. Ajinkya Rahane walked into bat at a crucial stage in the Indian innings and completed his century 195 balls. Team India now have a hefty lead over the Australians as they have cruised to an 80-run lead with Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja taking the charge.
Twitter was absolutely elated with Rahane’s grit and determination and the Twitterati couldn’t help but praise the Indian skipper for his brilliant knock against Australia.

In this article, we’ll bring the best Twitter reactions that led to Ajinkya Rahane’s praise and hailing.
Top class ton from skipper Ajinkya Rahane. This ton is at par with his 103 at Lord’s, 147 at MCG in 2014 & 96 at Durban in 2013. It’s so hard to imagine that his spot in the playing XI is often questioned by critics. Top player. This could be a series-defining ton #AUSvIND

Team India In Commanding Position After Ajinkya Rahane’s Heroics
Team India are in the driving seat after their batsmen have displayed rock-solid performance. Shubman Gill was astute with the bat as he opened the innings. Cheteshwar Pujara once again failed to find his rhythm as he was dismissed for just 17 runs off 70 balls. Ajinkya Rahane kept ticking the scoreboard from one end.
Hanuma Vihari and Rishabh Pant stitched quickfire knocks to help India reach Australia’s total. Rahane and Jadeja then played gritty knocks to force Australia on the backfoot. Team India now leads by more than 80 runs. The Indian batsmen will love to take a hefty lead and then dismiss Australia on a low score.
