In what comes as a shocking development, the Indian team-management has lodged an official complaint, alleging that the Indian fast bowling duo of Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah was subjected to racial slurs by a section of the crowd at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
According to a report in Daily Mail, it is understood that both Bumrah and Siraj were racially abused by the members of the crowd at the SCG for the past couple of days.
Senior Indian players and captain Ajinkya Rahane had a word with the match-officials and security personnel at the end of the play, amid claims that a member in the Randwick stand abused Siraj when he was fielding at fine-leg.
In a separate incident, the Indian staff walked around behind where Jasprit Bumrah was standing and spoke to him. Bumrah spoke to security officials before leaving as did Mohammed Siraj.
There were dramatic scenes around the Indian dressing room at stumps on day 03 with ICC and security officials locked in a long discussion with the members of the Indian team management.

We went there in midst of pandemic on their request becoz of their financial position. And now when half of our squad is injured and we want to take care of our players and not willing to go to Brisbane then they are making fun of us(even racial abuse). Wow how sporty???

I'll never ever support any kind of racial abuse, violence and casteism. Whoever attempts such acts, must be punished under respective law. And If Australian govt doesn't look into this, better we come back. Self respect is always a priority. Always with Team India. #AUSvIND

In a time when wr should feel lucky that there is LIVE sports happening, it's baffling how can some idiots racially abuse players !! Not that racial abuse is OK otherwise, but it has taken a lot out of everyone to make this possible and disrespecting that is criminal#INDvsAUS
