Twitter Reacts As James Anderson Dismisses Virat Kohli For A Golden Duck

Champion England pacer James Anderson has won the first battle of the 2021 summer against Indian skipper Virat Kohli as he missed the latter for a golden duck on the second afternoon.
James Anderson had Kohli’s number throughout the 2014 series in England but the Indian captain fought back brilliantly during the return tour in 2018 where he not only scored 593 runs across 10 innings but also managed to keep Anderson at bay throughout the series.
However, Anderson was just too good for Virat on the second afternoon of the ongoing Test as the former nicked off on the very first delivery he faced.
Kohli registered his fifth golden duck in Test match cricket and this is his second consecutive duck against England in England in Test cricket.
The wicket of Virat Kohli meant that India lost back-to-back wickets in the form of Cheteshwar Pujara and the former on consecutive James Anderson deliveries as the home side slipped from 0/97 to 3/104.
India were dealt with another blow at the time of the writing thanks to a horrible mix-up between KL Rahul and Ajinkya Rahane, leading to the run-out of Ajinkya Rahane at the non-striker’s end.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to Virat Kohli getting dismissed for a golden duck:
29th duck in Int'ls for Kohli (Tests 13, ODIs 13, T20Is 3). Kohli's Test average since 01st Jan 2020 is 23.00 (15 inns, 345 runs). Kohli has not scored an Int'l 100 in his last 47 inns, last Int'l century was v Bangladesh in India on 23rd Nov 2019. Massively Over-rated. #<!---->C<!---->r<!---->i<!---->c<!---->k<!---->e<!---->t
