UAE Playing 11 vs Pakistan- UAE T20I Tri Series 2025, Match 2:
Openers: Muhammad Waseem (c), Aryansh Sharma,
United Arab Emirates would like to put on a strong performance in the upcoming match against Pakistan in the tri-nation series involving Pakistan, Afghanistan, and United Arab Emirates.
This will be the United Arab Emirates' second T20I outing against the former T20 World Cup champions Pakistan, having faced them previously in the 2016 Asia Cup held in T20I format.
United Arab Emirates has been able to string a few impressive performances in the last couple of years, with with win in one of the three T20Is against New Zealand in 2023, followed by a historic series win against Bangladesh a few months ago.
The Muhammad Waseem-led side would want to carry that form in their first match of the triangular tournament.
United Arab Emirates will open the innings with the captain Muhammad Waseem and Aryansh Sharma in their series opener.
Both batters will look to get the team off to a good start in the first six overs against a strong Pakistani bowling lineup.
The onus will be on the skipper, Waseem, to do the bulk of the scoring, and the batter will need good support from his opening partner, who will also wish to get some runs under his belt.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Rahul Chopra (wk), Ethan D’Souza, Saghir Khan, Dhruv Parashar, Alishan Sharafu
The openers will be followed by a middle order that comprises names like that of wicketkeeper batter Rahul Chopra, along with Ethan D’Souza, Saghir Khan, Dhruv Parashar, and Alishan Sharafu.
The home side would want a relatively young batting lineup to get the job done, as far as the batting side of things is concerned.
One of the reasons why the batters will have to take more responsibility and can not leave things to the lower middle order is because of the lack of depth in the United Arab Emirates' batting lineup.
The hosts will probably have batting till number seven with four bowlers completing the playing XI for the match against Pakistan.
Bowlers: Muhammad Farooq, Junaid Siddique, Haider Ali, Muhammad Jawadullah
Unlike the batting order, the bowling lineup has a lot of options apart from four specialist bowlers in the form of Muhammad Farooq, Junaid Siddique, Haider Ali, and Muhammad Jawadullah.
Apart from the above-mentioned names United Arab Emirates also has two all-rounders in the ranks in Saghir Khan and Dhruv Parashar.
UAE's fast bowling department will be led by Junaid Siddique and Muhammad Jawadullah, with the former being he most experienced bowler in the squad for the tri-nation series.
As far as the team's spin bowling is concerned, the UAE will look to make the most of the slow and dry surface, which is expected to be on offer in the second match of the tri-nation series.
UAE will have the option of Muhammad Farooq and Haider Ali as the two spinners in the playing XI.
