Unknown Indian Names Who Will Shock IPL Auction Table
Yash Raj Punja and Bailapudi Yeswanth
Young domestic cricketers are starting to draw serious attention ahead of the IPL 2026 mini auction. Nineteen-year-old leg-spinner Yash Raj Punja has been placed in the very first batch of uncapped spinners.
Last year, Ian Bishop highlighted him on social media as an exciting teenage talent from Bengaluru. Punja finished as the second-highest wicket-taker in the Maharaja KSCA T20 Trophy, grabbing 23 wickets in 10 matches with impressive consistency despite not taking a single four-wicket haul.
Another young spinner attracting attention at the IPL Auction is Bailapudi Yeswanth, who delivered steady performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He recorded bowling figures like 1/24, 2/24, and 1/15 in key games. Yeswanth is placed in the second set of uncapped spinners.
Mukul Choudhary and Karthik Sharma
A couple of young Indian wicketkeeper-batters are generating big interest ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction, considering their explosive domestic form.
Mukul Choudhary, the aggressive Rajasthan hitter, has been one of the most talked-about uncapped names. He scored more than 600 runs at an average above 100 in the Men’s State A Trophy.
Mukul smashed more sixes than anyone else in the U23 tournament. His clean hitting down the ground, ability to finish games, and quick scoring in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy have made him a strong choice.
Nineteen-year-old Kartik Sharma, another rising star from Rajasthan, has stunned selectors by scoring centuries on both his List A and first-class debuts. He is known for his natural big-hitting ability and mature shot selection. Kartik is one of the most exciting teenage batters up for grabs this year.
Prashant Veer and Aman Rao Perala
Prashant Veer is quickly becoming one of the most exciting names of the season. He is known for constantly trying new things and improving his game. The 20-year-old has grown from junior cricket into a promising all-rounder at the senior level.
In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Prashant impressed with both bat and ball. He scored 112 runs at a strike rate close to 170 while also taking nine wickets at an excellent economy rate. He delivered a match-winning spell of 3 for 20 and added an unbeaten 40 in one match.
Another youngster drawing attention is Hyderabad’s Aman Rao Perala, a stylish yet powerful top-order batter. He has already earned a reputation as an aggressive opener with the technique and temperament to grow into a long-term prospect for higher levels.
