USA Cricket Names 14-Member Squad For ODI Tri-Series Against Oman And Nepal

USA Cricket named a 14-man squad who will tour to Oman to play against Oman and Nepal next month with the return of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 beginning with a tri-series.
The USA cricket team will make its return to international cricket for the first time since the start of the covid pandemic and will play in a One Day International tri-series in Muscat where each side will okay a total of four matches, the series starts on September 13.
The USA to play against Papua New Guinea ahead of the tri-series
Ahead of the tri-series, the USA will play a couple of ODI matches against Papua New Guinea in Muscat, which will be their first international game after a span of 572 days.
The 14-man squad will also be joined by right-arm pace bowler Kyle Phillip as a reserved player, who will come in place of an injured player or any player who happens to fall sick from the main squad.

The tour will also be the first under the leadership of the new USA Cricket Men’s head coach J Arunkumar who had to wait for more than a year for his first matches in charge. In the CWC League 2 table, the USA currently sits second and the squad will be looking to take critical points from the series of four games.
Meanwhile, Saurabh Netravalkar returns to lead the team once again with Aaron Jones has been named the vice-captain of the USA cricket team.
The USA squad will reach Muscat on September 2 and will have time to prepare themselves at the Oman Cricket Academy grounds to acclimatize with the local playing conditions.
