The Pakistan dugout stood on its feet and looked elated with the dismissal of India's young opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who has tormented bowlers otherwise but has repeatedly failed against the Pakistan side.

India are currently playing in the Under-19 Men's Asia Cup, and the Ayush Mhatre-led side made a promising start to their campaign with a 234-run win against the UAE in the first game. Young batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi was their standout performer with the bat, having scored 171 runs off just 95 balls. His innings towered India to a massive 433 in their 50 overs.

The Pakistan Under-19 team is also part of the tournament, and they started their campaign with a 297-run win over Malaysia. For them, Sameer Minhas remained the pick of the batters with an unbeaten 177, and speedsters Mohammad Sayyam and Ali Raza picked three wickets each.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi departs cheaply against Pakistan

Coming into the second game of the tournament, Pakistan skipper Farhan Yousaf won the toss and opted to bowl first in the rain-affected 49-over-a-side game. Ayush Mhatre, the skipper, opened the innings with the destructive Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

Pakistan pacer Mohammad Sayyam had the new ball, and he drew the first blood for Pakistan in the form of India's most destructive batter, Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He tricked the left-hander with a delivery that slowed on to him, and he failed to judge properly.

The bowler himself leapt and completed a fairly simple return catch and threw the ball into the air, and leapt in celebration. His teammates immediately rushed towards the bowler and celebrated the early removal of one of the pillars of the Indian U-19 batting order.

Pakistan's dugout jumps out of joy after Suryavanshi's dismissal

Suryavanshi was sent back for just 5 runs, and the Pakistan dugout was on their feet to celebrate the moment. The camp grew wild as they celebrated the wicket of the youngster; the joy seemed as if they had already won the match with that wicket.

They all rose to their feet and applauded the wicket of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, considering it to be a big relief in the game, as the batter, despite his young age, has been a nightmare for bowlers. With three Youth and three senior-level centuries, he is India's powerhouse in the batting order.

After Suryavanshi's early dismissal, a half-century partnership was built up between Captain Mhatre and India's no. 3 Aaron George. However, Sayyam returned to lead to another dismissal, and this time it was the skipper Mhatre, who looked solid until then.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi was India's highest scorer when they met Pakistan in the Rising Stars Asia Cup

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, despite his young age of 14, was selected as India's first-choice opener for the Rising Stars Asia Cup contest. He opened for the Jitesh Sharma-led team and also scored a century in the game against the UAE.

In their second game against Pakistan A, Suryavanshi single-handedly scored 45 runs off just 28 balls at the top of the order, while the rest of the team just crawled back without any significant contribution to the scoreboard.

India managed to put on 136 in their innings, and Suryavanshi was the highest scorer in the innings, followed by Naman Dhir with 35 runs.
