Vaibhav Suryavanshi fires back at sledging, "Pichle se koi kuch bhi bole, utna farak nahi padhta."
The 14-year-old cricketer from India rocked the ICC Cricket Academy in Dubai with his innings of 171 runs off just 95 balls, as India Under-19 clashed against UAE Under-19 in the Under-19 Asia Cup on Friday.
In his innings, he broke the record for most sixes in a single innings by a batter in Youth ODIs and hit 14 of those humongous sixes. Yet he missed out closely on being the second double-centurion in Youth ODI cricket.
During the match, UAE wicket-keeper Saleh Amin kept sledging Vaibhav Suryavanshi from behind the stumps. The Indian batter, however, remained unaffected and continued with his onslaught on the bowlers.
During the post-match presentation, Suryavanshi spoke about the incident and responded with an absolutely mind-boggling reply. “Me Bihar se belong karta hu. Pichle se koi kuch bhi bole, utna farak nahi padhta (I belong to Bihar. No matter what the other person is saying from behind, I really don't care).
"The keeper was talking to me, it's their job to keep saying things, but I was focused on my own game, and I was looking to do what I wanted to do,” said Vaibhav Suryavanshi during the post-match presentation.

The left-handed batter played a magnificent innings, and despite his young age, he maintained his composure for so long, which seemed exceptional. He further claimed that he introduced shots like reverse sweep and scoop because he had practiced them before the game.
“I was trying to play as long as possible. At the start, I took some time as I was reading the wicket. After 10-12 balls, I started to back my game,” said Suryavanshi.
“I played one reverse sweep and one scoop shot. I was practicing before the game; hence, I brought it out in the game,” he added.
India U-19 started their campaign with a massive 234-run victory
With the help of Suryavanshi's magnificent innings and some great support extended by the middle order, India A decked up a score of 433 runs in their quota of 50 overs. This proved sufficient for the Ayush Mhatre-led side to register their first win.
The India U-19 team won the game by a mammoth 234 runs and claimed their first points. Their next game is against Pakistan U19 on Sunday.
