At just 14 years old, young cricket sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has already left a big mark in his debut IPL season. Playing for the Rajasthan Royals, Vaibhav Suryavanshi amazed everyone with his fearless hitting and incredible maturity at such a young age in the IPL 2025.

The left-handed batter grabbed headlines in April when he smashed a stunning 101 off just 35 balls against the Gujarat Titans in Jaipur. His knock was studded with 7 fours and 11 sixes. It was the fastest century ever by an Indian in IPL history and the second-fastest overall in the tournament.

This feat also made him the youngest male player to score a T20 century, doing so at just 14 years and 32 days. While the Rajasthan Royals had a nightmare season, Suryavanshi's explosive performances stood out. His batting blitz was honored with the IPL Super Striker of the Season award during the IPL 2025 final ceremony.

Looking ahead, the teenage batting sensation is determined to improve further. Vaibhav said that he is focused on learning from his debut season, fixing mistakes, and coming back stronger to help his team in the next edition of the IPL in 2026.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi aims to perform twice better in IPL 2026 than debut season

Vaibhav Suryavanshi said in a video shared by IPL's official website, “Playing in the IPL is like a dream for everyone, and I got a lot of positives from my first season, and I also learned a lot in terms of what I can do for the team in the next season. Next year, I will work on areas where I made mistakes and try to do much better for the team.”

Looking back on his debut IPL season, Vaibhav said that he wants to improve even more next year. He aims to perform twice as well and help his team reach the final. His main focus will be on giving his best and contributing to the team’s success.

Reflecting on his debut season, Suryavanshi said, "My learning is that I have to do two times better than what I have done so that my team also plays in the final next year, and how much I can contribute to my team, I will focus on that."

Vaibhav Suryavanshi earns India U-19 call-up for England tour after blazing IPL debut

After a brilliant IPL debut, Suryavanshi has been picked for India’s Under-19 team for the upcoming tour of England. He will join Mumbai’s Ayush Mhatre, who will lead the team. Vaibhav is excited about playing in England for the first time and hopes to bring home the trophy.

Suryavanshi signed off by saying, “It is a new tournament. I am going to the UK for the first time, so it will be a new experience. I will experience how the game goes on there. Ayush Mhatre, who played for Chennai Super Kings this time, is our captain. The preparations are going well, and it will be a good experience playing in England, and we will try to return with the trophy.”

Notably, Vaibhav played 7 matches for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2025 with the help of one fifty and one century at an average of 36 and a strike rate of 206.55.
