Speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, Suryakumar Yadav expressed delight over the performance of the Indian bowlers. Suryakumar Yadav said:

"We are playing an aggressive brand of cricket, but as the situation demanded, batters put their hands up. Very happy with the way Tilak batted."
Suryakumar Yadav also talked about Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh's crucial contributions with the bat. He stated:

How India Performed in 1st T20I vs England in Kolkata
India showcased an impressive all-round performance to secure a dominant 7-wicket victory in the 1st T20I at Eden Gardens. Chasing a modest target of 133, India clinched a win with 43 balls to spare, thanks to the heroics of explosive opener Abhishek Sharma.
Winning the toss and electing to bowl, India struck early as Arshdeep Singh dismissed Phil Salt and Ben Duckett within the first three overs. Varun Chakravarthy was the star with the ball, taking 3/23, including the key wickets of Jos Buttler (68) and Liam Livingstone.
Buttler fought a lone battle with his brilliant knock, but the rest of England’s batting faltered against India’s disciplined attack. Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya also chipped in with two wickets each as England managed only 132 runs in their 20 overs.
In the chase, India faced a minor hiccup when Jofra Archer removed Sanju Samson (26) and Suryakumar Yadav (0) in quick succession. However, Abhishek Sharma played a stunning knock, smashing 79 off 34 balls, including eight sixes and five fours. Also, Tilak Varma (19*) provided steady support as India completed the run-chase in just 12.5 overs.
