Virat Kohli is an Indian cricketer who represents Team India in international cricket, Royal Challengers Bangalore in Indian Premier League (IPL) and Delhi in domestic cricket. He is widely considered one of the modern-day greats and one of the best batsmen in the history of the game.

Under his captaincy, India won the tournament. Virat Kohli scored 235 runs in 6 games at an average of 47 in the competition.
After the starring display in the Under-19 World Cup, he earned his maiden call-up from the senior Indian team in August 2008 for the tour of Sri Lanka. In the same year, he was also picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first-ever IPL auction and has been playing for the franchise since then.
On August 18, he made his ODI debut while he made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe in 2010. In 2011, he made his Test debut against West Indies. After the tour of Australia in 2014/15, he replaced MS Dhoni as the Test captain and stepped down from the post in 2022. He took charge of the limited-overs teams in 2017 and stepped down from the post in 2021.
