Virat Kohli frustration
Kohli played a sensible innings, but Abhinav Mukund felt that Kohli was irritated in the first innings because of the lacklustre bowling performance and the clueless fielding on the ground.
The former Indian batter believed that it was bad news for somebody if Kohli was riled up after the first innings due to the poor performance on the field.
"I mean with this all due respect to Kohli, but I just feel that he was riled up after that first innings, and it is very bad news for somebody, today it just ended up being LSG. He came in with all of those juices flowing, with the anger of the first innings, those misfields, and the lacklustre bowling performance. It just gave him another gear, I feel," Abhinav Mukund stated.
Mukund also praised Kohli by stating that this was Kohli’s best half-century in this season and he was looked in full control during his knock.
"He was batting beautifully. I think this is one of his best fifties of the season, by what I saw, because whatever he attempted, he would have got at least 80-85 per cent (of control) or higher. That is incredible to have." Mukund added.
