In a fun and light-hearted interview with Shefali Bagga on the sidelines of the World Championship of Legends 2025 (WCL 2025), legendary Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has opened up about his cricketing heroes and stunned the fans by calling Virat Kohli a “3rd ranked batter.”

Yuvraj Singh took part in a quirky challenge called the "blind ranking," where the former World Cup winner would be shown one cricketer’s name at a time, and he had to give them a ranking from 1 to 6 without knowing whose name would come first.

The first name was the legendary South African batter AB de Villiers, who is also currently captaining the South Africa Champions in the ongoing WCL 2025, where the former Indian all-rounder is captaining the India Champions. Without hesitation, Yuvraj gave the ‘Mr. 360-degree’ the top spot.

Next came India’s modern-era legend Virat Kohli, and Yuvraj placed him second. Then came Jacques Kallis, the legendary South African all-rounder, and the Indian icon gave him the third spot. But everything changed when Sachin Tendulkar’s name was revealed by the anchor.

Without a second thought, Yuvraj Singh scrapped his list. He immediately put the "Master Blaster" in the number one position, bumping AB de Villiers down to second. Kohli shifted to third, and Kallis moved to fourth in his top 6 batters.

Yuvraj told Shefali Bagga, “I think I’ll go Tendulkar first and ABD second. For me, Tendulkar is always first.” As the challenge continued, Rohit Sharma was unveiled next and was placed fifth, and at the end, Chris Gayle took the sixth and final spot on Yuvraj’s elite list.
