Indian cricket team seems in a tricky situation after losing their first two games against Pakistan and New Zealand in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

However, India came strong against a belligerent Afghanistan side boasted with their young spinners.

Virat Kohli has the worst record for the toss in the last 50 years: Aakash Chopra

Winning the toss has become a crucial factor for a team’s fortunes in the current Twenty20 World Cup in the UAE, where dew plays a big role for the team that chases the target.

Kohli has lost the toss in all the games so far in the tournament, and according to cricket commentator Aakash Chopra’s analysis, Kohli has just a 40% record in winning the toss.

What about Kohli and tosses? If you see, he has captained India in 8 T20Is this year and won just one toss. If you look at his career, then in the win and loss toss percentage for players who have captained in more than 100 games (across all formats), Kohli has the worst record in the last 50 years,” Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

“He’s won the toss in about 40% of matches. And the best is Rahul Dravid’s. His was nearly 58-60%. Dhoni is also around 47-18. And Kohli is right around the bottom, which means luck doesn’t support him,” he added.

You can play three spinners against Scotland: Aakash Chopra

India brought Ravichandran Ashwin in place of Varun Chakravarthy against Afghanistan.

Ashwin, who played his first T20 International match after more than four years, impressed with his bowling figures of 2/14 in four overs.

Shardul Thakur went for 31 runs from his three-over spell against Afghanistan, and Chopra believes that India could play an additional spinner in the upcoming match against Scotland.

“I am seeing one change, and why is that? Because Hardik has started bowling now, and we have seen Scotland struggle against spin before. So play another spinner.

“In the two matches he has bowled, Shardul Thakur hasn’t looked spicy enough. I feel that you can take 2-3 overs from Hardik, plus you have two fast bowlers, and you can get three spinners… I am going with Rahul Chahar,” Chopra said.

India will play against Scotland on Friday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
