Virat Kohli Is India's Top Scorer In World Cup 2023 But Vikram Rathour Credits Rohit Sharma For His Form

Rohit Sharma has mesmerized everyone with his new aggressive approach in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. He has scored 442 runs in eight innings in this World Cup with an average of 55.25. However, the highlight of his World Cup campaign has been his terrific strike rate, The Indian skipper has a strike rate of 122.78 in this World Cup. Scoring above 400 runs with that strike rate in ODI cricket is just unbelievable.
Rohit Sharma has taken the initiative of giving his team a flying start that eventually provides a cushion for the middle-order batters to anchor the innings and take the team’s total forward. He has taken a very different approach from the 2019 World Cup. In the 2019 ICC World Cup, Rohit was trying to build his innings in every match and he eventually ended up with five centuries to his name in that tournament.
In this World Cup, Rohit is playing like he doesn’t care about his milestones and this is something that very few batters can execute. The Indian batting coach Vikram Rathour revealed that it is entirely Rohit’s decision to play attacking cricket. Rohit has been praised a lot by former cricketers and experts for his selfless and aggressive approach in this World Cup.
Vikram Rathour said, “It’s absolutely Rohit’s idea to play an attacking approach. He is taking the initiative – if there is something on the wicket, he is looking to go for his shots, and it is working out really well for the team. He is one guy who is leading with his action.”

Rohit Sharma has hit 22 sixes already in this World Cup in just eight matches. He is not stopping when he is attacking the opponent’s bowling attack. This 2.0 version of Rohit is like a menace and by the time the opponents get him out, it is too late and they spend the rest of the time doing damage control.
Currently, Rohit is the only member of the squad who can force the bowling attack to acquire a defensive approach against India. Hopefully, he can help India win the World Cup with this approach as the Men In Blue have already qualified for the semi-finals.
