Harry Brook emphasized Virat Kohli‘s unique approach, especially his running between the wickets and the impressive construction of his innings. Brook described some of Kohli’s innings as “ridiculous.”

“Kohli is the greatest ever ODI cricketer now. The way he runs in between the wickets – he is just the best in the world, you watch him construct his innings, some of the innings he played was ridiculous,” Brook said.

They Were Slagging Me Off A Few Days Ago – Harry Brook

The 24-year-old batter expressed regret for comments he made about India’s fans after scoring a century in the 2023 Indian Premier League. He acknowledged the criticism he faced on social media for his poor start in the competition.

“If you go on social media, people are calling you rubbish and you start to doubt yourself slightly. I went out with an I-don’t-care mentality tonight and thankfully, it came off,” Brook stated.

“There’s a lot of Indian fans out there who would probably say well done tonight but they were slagging me off a few days ago. Glad that I could shut them up, to be honest,” he added.

Brook had a challenging debut IPL season with Sunrisers Hyderabad, despite scoring a century against the Kolkata Knight Riders. The batter scored 190 runs in 11 innings at an average of 21.11, contributing to his team’s decision to release him before IPL 2024.
