Virat Kohli is the 'most Australian' among Indian players, claims Aussie greats

Star Australia cricketers Mitchell Starc and Steve Smith feel that Virat Kohli is the "Most Australian" among all the Indian players. Both the players feel that Kohli's thoughts and actions make him like an Australian.

Kohli has been an aggressive cricketer throughout his career. His ability to produce his best performance when involved in banters with the opposition has been the highlight of his career.

He has played a no. of incredible innings against Australia throughout his career. Moreover, Kohli has an exceptional record in Australia which makes him such a dangerous player for them.

Mitchell Starc and Steve Smith feel Virat Kohli is the "Most Australian"

During a chat with Star Sports, Mitchell Starc and Steve Smith were asked about the Indian cricketer who is the most Australian in thoughts and actions. The answer for both of them was quite simple - Virat Kohli.

Starc believes that Kohli's ability to perform in big matches and the love to get into a contest with the opposition make him Australian-like.

"I believe Virat Kohli is the most Australian like. He is one to perform in big games. The way he takes on the game, the way he thinks about the game. He loves getting into the contest which I think a lot of Australian players do," Starc reckoned.

Meanwhile, Steve Smith echoed Starc's thoughts and claimed that Kohli loves the battles and tries to get on top of the opposition which a lot of Australian players like as well.

"Virat Kohli is Australian in thoughts and action. The way he gets into the battle, the way he gets into the challenge, tries to get on top of the opposition. He is probably the most Australian of the Indian players," Smith said in the video.

Mitchell Starc and Steve Smith will be in action in the five-match Test series between Australia and India later this year barring any late injuries. Both of them will be key to Australia's chances as they aim to win their first Border-Gavaskar Trophy in ten years.
