RCB paceman Yash Dayal tied the knot with Social Media Influencer Shweta Pundir amid the controversy and allegations of sexual assault on a minor. The video of the two getting married on Pundir's Instagram page took everyone by major shock.
Yash Dayal was probably going through the finest phase of his career, as he had become a crucial member of RCB's attack when they went on to win their maiden title in the IPL. His bowling antics could have earned him an India call-up, but character on the field is not what counts at all times.
The cricketer was booked under allegations of rape by a minor girl. He was repeatedly denied any anticipatory bail, as per the strict laws of the POCSO Act, which ensures strict punishment for crimes against children.
Yash Dayal shockingly ties the knot amid POCSO allegations
Indian cricketer and RCB's left-arm pacer Yash Dayal, who has been sidelined from cricket with heinous allegations of crime against children, has reportedly tied the knot with longtime sweetheart Shweta Pundir in a secret ceremony in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Dayal married long-time partner Shweta Pundir in a private ceremony with no cricketers in attendance. The ceremony was reportedly held on February 4, with only relatives in attendance and not one teammate attending the ceremony.
He remains accused of raping a minor and emotionally blackmailing her for over two years, alongside luring her with promises of a cricketing career. This has drawn the attention of many on social media and within the cricketing circles.

Who is Shweta Pundir? Social Media Influencer who married Yash Dayal
Shweta Pundir, the newlywed bride of RCB cricketer Yash Dayal, is a social media influencer and vlogger from Delhi and has over 578K followers on Instagram. Alongside this, she has also had experience working as a broadcaster in the International Legends League and has earned widespread popularity.
Dayal, who was reportedly denied the anticipatory bail over the past few months in 2025, was finally handed the bail in January. She was the first to celebrate this on social media with a post backing her partner.
"Congratulations, love. Rising above the noise. The comeback is always stronger than the setback," she had written on Instagram.

The accusations against the Royal Challengers Bangalore cricketer could not be proved until now, as a result of which the investigation is continuing, but the court granted bail to Dayal back in January 2026.
Though Dayal has not returned to any form of competitive cricket, and his return will be tough after the serious allegations, he continues to be a crucial part of the RCB setup, especially after their frontline paceman Josh Hazlewood's participation has been a major uncertainty.
Dayal, alongside Bhuvneshwar Kumar, would be among the two frontline India pacer options for RCB; however, they would also have Rasikh Dar on the bench lined up as his replacement, as they would have to prepare themselves for any adverse situation.
