Swastik Chikara might not have yet made his debut in the ongoing IPL 2025, but he is already making waves with his enthusiasm and admiration for Virat Kohli. Swastik Chikara has openly expressed his admiration for Virat Kohli, referring to him as his "big brother" and enjoying every moment spent in the Royal Challengers Bangalore icon’s company.
However, it seems that Kohli might be getting a bit irritated by Swastik's constant presence around him in the dressing room. In a light-hearted moment during a promotional event, the former RCB captain was asked which teammate he would or wouldn’t want to share a room with, and without hesitation, he said no to Chikara.

In a video posted by the RCB on its official X handle, Virat Kohli jokingly explained that he would never want to room with Swastik as he never leaves him alone, but he expressed interest in getting to know Jitesh Sharma better.

Kohli was asked, “Which RCB cricketer would he prefer and not prefer to have as a roommate while travelling?” To which the former Indian captain replied by saying, “I wouldn't say it's Swastik Chikara. Because he doesn't leave me alone, so definitely not him.”
Well, Chikara's admiration for Kohli is evident in his actions. The young batter had once even opened the Indian batting maestro’s bag to use his perfume without his permission. During his birthday celebration, Swastik wouldn't let go of his finger, and he’s regularly seen behind Kohli, handing him drinks or helping in other ways, even on the ground.
Virat Kohli says he really wants to know Jitesh Sharma
However, Kohli said that he would be more than happy to room with wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma. Despite not having had many deep conversations with Jitesh yet, Kohli is impressed by the street-smart qualities the Vidarbha cricketer brings to the game.
The right-handed batter said that Jitesh is really funny, but he hasn't opened up well with him so far. Well, Jitesh’s bat has been silent in this IPL season, as the wicketkeeper-batter has managed only 121 runs from 7 innings, with his highest score being an unbeaten 40 against the Mumbai Indians.

Kohli said at the event, “But one guy I think is really funny, but he's not opened up with me properly, is Jitesh (Sharma). I would want to see that really fun, raw side of him because I can see it in his eyes; he's got that mischief about him. He's very street smart; you can see on the field that he finds different ways of looking at things. So, I would like to get to know him more.”
