ICC released the names of the nominees for ICC Player of The Month for October 2023. The list consists of a South African southpaw who has lit up the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 with his red-hot batting. The next one is a young prodigy from New Zealand who has been in terrific form in this World Cup and has shown his caliber on the biggest stage. The third player is an Indian spearhead who is known for his toe-crushers and death bowling.

Quinton de Kock

The South African wicketkeeper batter has lit up this World Cup and is currently the highest run scorer of the tournament. He scored 431 runs during the month of October which included three centuries in the World Cup.

Quinton de Kock started his campaign with a terrific century against Sri Lanka and then he also scored a century in the very next game against Australia. He then played an emphatic knock of 174 against Bangladesh at the end of the month. To add things up, Quinton de Kock took 10 catches and completed one stumping as a tidy wicketkeeper during the month of October.

Rachin Ravindra

The New Zealand youngster boasts an average of 81.20, amassing 406 runs through the first six games of the tournament for the Kiwis during October. Rachin Ravindra lit up the World Cup in the inaugural match itself when he scored a terrific 123 runs against England. He added another century to his tally against Trans Tasmanian rivals Australia where he scored 116 while chasing a massive target of 389.

Rachin Ravindra also took three wickets in the month of October with his ability as a slow-left-arm bowler. He has been a revelation for New Zealand and he is one of the contenders for winning the ICC Player of The Month.

Jasprit Bumrah

The Indian pacer took 14 wickets after coming back from an injury and has been a key part of India’s unbeaten streak in this World Cup. Jasprit Bumrah had an economy of just 3.91 during October which means that he had one of the best economic rates in the World Cup

Jasprit Bumrah boasts the best figure of 4-39 against Afghanistan early in the month. His contribution with the bat in his 16 runs and 3-32 with the ball against England at the end of October was just as impressive.
