Virat Kohli looks set to play against Chennai Super Kings in the mouthwatering clash, scheduled to take place on Friday (March 28) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
There were doubts over the participation of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru star in the match due to a back issue. He had reportedly complained about his back after RCB's match against Kolkata Knight Riders last week. On Thursday, RCB mentor Dinesh Karthik also admitted that Virat Kohli was indeed carrying a niggle in his back.

However, the former India and RCB captain now looks all set to ply his trade for his side against CSK. RevSportz's Rohit Juglan delivered an update on the star batsman, saying that he has been training hard in the nets for the match. He also stated that the pitch that will be used for the CSK vs RCB clash will be slower than the one that was used for the match against Mumbai Indians.

RCB will be hoping that Kohli continues his fine start to the season and makes a big impact with the bat on a pitch that is expected to be a challenging one for the batters. Kohli scored an unbeaten fifty in the last game against KKR that helped RCB start their campaign in IPL 2025 with a 7-wicket win.
Virat Kohli eyes second win in Chennai:
Virat Kohli as well as RCB will be hoping to register a memorable win in the upcoming game against CSK to end their long wait for a win against the Chennai-based outfit in their backyard. RCB have not defeated CSK at the MA Chidambaram Stadium since the inaugural season in 2008.
Kohli was a part of the RCB team that had defeated CSK in 2008. It was a low-scoring game where spinners had dominated the proceedings. Batting first, RCB had scored 126/8 with Rahul Dravid's 47 being the best effort with the bat. Kohli, on the other hand, had managed to score only 10 runs.
In reply, CSK finished their innings on 112/8 even after their openers shared a 60-run stand for the first wicket. Anil Kumble had starred with the ball for RCB, taking 3 wickets for 14 runs in 4 overs.
Since then, RCB and CSK have played 8 games at the MA Chidambaram Stadium and the latter have won all of them. The overall head-to-head record is also on CSK's side. Out of the 33 games between the two teams so far, CSK have won 21 while RCB have managed to win 11. One match between the two teams ended in no result.
