Virat Kohli, on Saturday (October 25), took a brilliant catch to dismiss in-form Matthew Short in the ongoing third ODI between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Australia were off to a good start with the bat after their captain, Mitchell Marsh, won the toss and opted to bat first. Marsh and Travis Head added 61 runs for the opening wicket.
India pull things back
Mohammed Siraj ended the partnership between the Australian openers by dismissing Head for 29 runs in the 10th over.

Marsh and Short then steadied the ship but could not bat Australia to a strong position. They added 27 runs for the second wicket before Axar Patel clean bowled Marsh with a beauty to give India another important wicket. The Australian captain departed after scoring 41 runs off 50 balls.
Virat Kohli's stunning grab sends back Matthew Short:
After the departure of the openers, the onus was on Matthew Short and Matt Renshaw to bring the innings back on track. The duo did well too and were looking set to stitch together a big partnership before Virat Kohli's stunning effort dashed their hopes.
Short, who had scored 74 runs in the previous match, looked set to score big again. He was batting on 30 runs and was well-set when Virat Kohli ended his stay at the crease. The wicket fell in the 23rd over, bowled by Washington Sundar.
On the third ball of the over, the Indian allrounder bowled a tossed-up delivery on the off stump, and Short decided to play a sweep shot. He got down on one knee and nailed the sweep shot.
The ball was hit really hard, but Virat converted it into a brilliant catch at forward square. The former India captain had very little time to react, but it was enough for him to complete the catch.
